Neopost Remanufactured & Refilled Ink Cartridges Fail The Test

We have seen a flood of refilled Neopost ink cartridges hit the internet market place over the last 3 months. Because we are the largest Neopost ink cartridge and consumable dealer in the UK we thought we better look into these refilled cartridges and see if they are any good.

We discretely bought Neopost IJ25 IJ35 & IJ65 refilled ink cartridges from 3 of the new online retailers we found selling these products, and simply printed test sheets from each cartridge to check the quality. On opening all the cartridges it seemed that 2 retailers had the same supplier as the cartridges were packaged identically and the results were the same, very poor. After a little trouble getting the ink to flow ( a piece of tissue and a shake got us going ) we soon saw that the printed results were not good. The impressions on the page were missing parts where the ink had not flowed properly from the cartridge. This was generally repeated across all the cartridges from all the suppliers.

We then wondered what the warranty implications of using these refilled Neopost cartridges were. Speaking to Neopost directly they could only comment that they were looking into these new bread of cartridges and had not yet come to any firm conclusions, however, any machine that fails with a refilled cartridge inside would not be covered under any warranty or support agreements. Watch this space.
