LEXMARK C522 TONER

Very disappointed with the Lexmark C522.  A real white elephant.  I’d give it 4/10.

Bought it when it was A-listed at PC Pro, but although the speed is good, and text quality is good, it displays a great deal of banding on any kind of graduated colour fill.

It’s therefore completely useless for printing anything other than basic documents, since graphics of almost any kind look terrible.

The black starter cartridge it came with hardly lasted any time at all, which was annoying, since they’re extremely expensive.

On the other hand, I’ve just put a replacement toner cartridge in my HP LaserJet 5, which is now 13 years old.  Black and white only, of course, but the text and graphics quality from that, are still excellent.
