Free Printer Service Monitors Paper and Toner Cartridge Consumption

The Printer Dashboard cloud service has been released to help computer users know the paper, ink and toner cartridge consumption of their printer.

ThinPrint, a provider of print management services, launched the free web-based monitoring product which gives people an overview of their printer environment.

Charlotte Kunzell, chief operating officer at ThinPrint, said: "With this free service, users avoid printer downtime, calculate usage and costs of individual models and can thus take measures to significantly reduce overall costs."

On top of this the service allows users to order paper and toner cartridges directly at the click of a mouse when required.

Ms Kunzell added that Printer Dashboard delivers information that enables users to make sound business decisions and lets them reduce the IT cost of printing in any organisation.

Recently, the company announced its cloud service solution providing any computer user that authenticates a standard machine, via smartcard, Blackberry or QR barcode can access cheaper printing with enhanced security.
