Toner Cartridges Are Samsung ML 2955DW Printer Downfall
A review of the Samsung ML-2955DW by PC World has returned a mixed review on the printer, claiming that it has a very low purchase price but that it needs "extremely expensive" toner cartridges.
The review accepts that the Samsung laser printer comes with a very agreeable purchase price of just $150 (£95) which will certainly appeal to a wide number of consumers although the cost of toner could prove difficult to stomach.
According to PC World, the printer comes with a standard starter-size toner cartridge with a 1000-page yield. After this, replacements include a MLT-D103 1500-page cartridge for $63 (£39), which the review claims is steep compared with other monochrome lasers.
The finale of the review reads: "The toner costs over time will be dear. If you plan to print more than a few dozen pages per week, move up a hundred dollars or so in purchase price to buy a machine with cheaper consumables."
