Cartridge Recycling Head Admits Ink Theft

The founder of a recycling firm that deals with ink cartridges has admitted to stealing some of the units.

Malcolm Lormor, who founded Northern Recycling, admitted to entering offices wearing a Parcel Force jacket and attempting to steal ink cartridges, the Sunderland Echo reported .

During the trial, Lormor was found to have several previous convictions dating back to 1960, including benefit fraud, obtaining property by deception and breach of suspended sentences.

Presiding judge Bob Spragg said that Lormor had been doing well for several months now in dealing with problems he had with depression and dishonesty before this incident.

Lormor was sentenced at Durham County Court to a three-month curfew as the court was advised that his depression stopped him from being forced to do community service.

The curfew will last from between 20:00 to 7:00 nightly and Lormor will also have to pay damages to the offices which he broke into.
