Printer Ink Refilling Company Booming in India
A printer ink cartridges company in India has benefitted from private equity investment, it has been stated. According to the Financial Times, Re-Feel Cartridge Engineering has secured investment from TLG Capital, a UK private equity house.
The printer ink refill company has 109 shops throughout India and is dominating the market. And now it has received $4.5 million from TLG for a 36 per cent share in the company.
The printer ink market is seen as a new and emerging market. Re-Feel offers refills at cheap prices and also runs a laptop repair service.
According to the news provider, Re-Feel can expect strong return for its ink cartridges operation: "The company expects revenues to grow fourfold to nearly $2m in the end of the 2010 financial year, with a further 100 per cent increase next year as it adds five to ten stores a month. It employs about 100, not counting franchisees and their staff."
Earlier this month printer ink manufacturer Canon announced plans to develop a recycling strategy.
