Printer Buyers Should Consider Ink Cartridge Costs

The cost of ink cartridges is one of many things that a parent should take into consideration when looking to purchase a printer for their child, it has been stated.

Writing for the Pocono Record, James Derk, the owner of computer repairs firm CyberDads, remarks there are many questions parents should ask themselves before making a purchase. These include how much will printer ink cost when it runs out, are colour print outs needed and does a child also require the ability to scan and fax documents.

Meanwhile, there are the added questions of whether a child would benefit from a printer with wireless capabilities and is a particularly small device required to fit in a minute space. Mr Derk noted that the cost of printing each page should be the first question asked, while those not needing to scan or copy will get by with a colour laser printer rather than an all-in-one inkjet offering.

Printer users could also cut their costs by using black ink for the majority of their work and only printing in colour when it is actually needed, according to a recent article on If It Prints, I'll Let You Know.
