Network Your Printer To Make The Most Out Of Your Ink

Trouble-shooter Jay Dougherty explained on Newsfactor.com how multiple people could access a printer wirelessly.

A student wrote in to ask Mr Dougherty how to make his printer available to his housemates and was advised that the process is simple.

In the Devices and Printers panel of Windows, there is an option to share the printer, making it accessible to other users within wireless range.

"To share a printer independent of whether your PC is on, you'll need a printer that's designed as a network printer, and you'll need to hook that printer up to your wireless router," Mr Dougherty added.

Wireless access to printers allows users to print documents remotely, without the need for any physical connection with the computer.
