Documents Over the Floor is a Source of Printer Frustration

Although the printer inkclogging up and unfixable paperjams do irritate staff in an office, printers also have other ways of frustrating employees, it has been suggested.

Thomas Wailgum has cited examples for Network World of scenarios when an office printer becomes a source of frustration. Some of the alternate problems are the "stupid printer tricks" that the machines can play on staff, including when it decides not to leave all printed documents in its desired tray.

One regular printer user said on the website: "When printing big jobs with many pages, the machine invariably pushes the previous documents out of the tray, which go flying everywhere. This is annoying. The falling pages have a tendency to do a loop-de-loop and get caught in the lower trays of the printer."

A blog on If It Prints I'll Let You Know recently suggested that proper printer care could prevent problems including clogged print heads and paper jams occurring in the first place.

Meanwhile, once these problems have happened, it is also suggested that they could be resolved through following do-it-yourself troubleshooting tips.
