British Inventor Unveils Lego Printer

A British technology enthusiast who has put together a lego printer, which uses a felt tip pen rather than a standard printer ink cartridge, is making a name for himself around the world.

Unveiling his device via the video sharing site YouTube, 30-year-old Adam, who goes by the user profile of 'horseattack', has explained that the printer was entirely home-made.

The short film shows the lego printer, which features a man on horseback as well as all the vital mechanical parts, moving a felt tip pen over a blank piece of paper to eventually write the word 'hello world'.

Alongside the footage, Adam explains: "This is not a kit you can buy and does not use mindstorms. I designed/built/coded it all from scratch including analogue motor electronics, sensors and printer driver, the USB interface uses a 'wiring' board."
