Recycle Printer Ink Cartridges Expert Urges

An industry expert has said that printer ink cartridges should be reused or recycled wherever possible.

John C Arkin said that there are many "creative" ways in which empty ink cartridges can be put to good use and listed some of his suggestions on his blog.

"Don't throw away your empty ink cartridge or laser toner cartridges. You might want to create something out of it," he wrote on printerinkcartridgesblog.printcountry.com.

Some of Mr Arkin's suggestions include making them into an ashtray by adding a bit of tin foil, converting them into a piggy bank and coming up with an "innovate looking bread basket".

"You could also join the various cartridges to create a flower or plant pot. This will help you do your bit for the environment," the expert concluded.

The comments come weeks after another blogger on printerinkcartridgesblog.printcountry.com explained that using remanufactured cartridges is up to printer owners and is not something that can be recommended or discouraged.

Alternatively, recycle your old ink cartridges and make money at the same time. Click here to visit www.cashforcartridges.co.uk
