HP Unveils Digital Label Printing Solution

HP has launched a new printing solution which offers customers faster turnarounds and greater flexibility for label manufacturing.

According to the print manufacturer, the HP Indigo WS6000 Digital Press was showcased at the Labelexpo Europe trade show.

The new model is designed to be cost-effective in its use of ink and labels, the company explained.

Alon Bar-Shany, vice-president and general manager of Indigo division at HP, said: "These advantages, along with a complete suite of prepress, workflow and finishing solutions, have made HP Indigo one of the world's best-selling press lines in the global label converting industry."

The HP Indigo Smart Planner for Labels was also unveiled at the event, an online solution which allows businesses to estimate the cost of jobs and plan their business moves accordingly.

Meanwhile, HP has hosted the third annual HP Digital Labels Contest to find the best labels and examples of shrink wrapping among its customers.

Categories for alcoholic beverages, flexible packaging, as well as health and beauty products, were included.
