HP Calls For People To Help The Environment

HP Calls For People To Help The Environment

Printer manufacturer HP has launched a new campaign titled Power To Change.

The drive encourages those with a personal computer to change the way they think in order to do their thing for the planet.

As part of the promotion, users are encouraged to download a new desktop application that keeps track of how much energy is saved thanks to people turning off idle PCs when they are not in use.

A spokesperson for the group said it is the "manifestation of HP's long-held philosophy that industry leadership is about an ongoing contribution to society".

Through the campaign, individuals and businesses can make a "small environmental commitment that has the potential for a large impact on addressing sustainability challenges today".

Power To Change is launching in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas - so it has a worldwide target.

Meanwhile, consumers and business users who wish to do more for the environment could elect to recycle their old ink cartridges.
