Waterman Celebrates Anniversary With Limited Edition
Waterman Paris fountain pen company is celebrating its anniversary with the introduction of a new limited edition pen named the Edson 125 ans.
It was created to mark the 125th anniversary of Lewis Edson Waterman founding the company in 1883, the year when he is also said to have invented the world's first fountain pen.
The nib of the €1850 (£1639) pen is solid 18-carat gold which has been plated in rhodium to increase fluidity and the pen itself is made of palladium with art-deco, blue lacquered designs along the body.
"Designed at Waterman's Saint Herblain centre in France and assembled with supreme artistry, Edson 125 ans blends timeless luxury and bold modernity," Waterman Paris said.
"Just 1883 pieces, each one etched with a distinct number on the side of the clip in homage to 125 years of original creation".
The pen is also presented in a solid wood, blue lacquered box, lined in fabric and hot stamped with a golden logo.
