Recycling Ink Cartridges Offers Considerable Eco Benefits

Recycling toner cartridges reduces the carbon footprint of that cartridge by up to 60 per cent, a new report from Lexmark shows.

The firm released the findings in its Life Cycle Assessment study, which examined the eco impact of toner cartridges that are thrown away, Trade Arabia reported.

In order to reduce waste and help the environment, Lexmark advises its customers to only print what they need, use double-sided prints, and use paperless tools, like scan to email. High yield ink and toner cartridges also help reduce waste.

"Lexmark has made it a priority to educate its customers on what steps they can take to implement responsible printing practices, such as printing less and recycling, to reduce the negative impact to the environment," said Mohammed Addarrat, general manager of Lexmark International Middle East, the news provider reported.
