South Australian Govt Selects Konica Minolta For Printer Panel

The South Australian government has selected Konica Minolta to be part of a printer panel.

It has been entitled the new Document Output Devices panel and replaces the Printer & Photocopier Equpment Panel that was introduced in January 2007, with the state government expecting the move to save $6 million (£3.9 million).

Finance and public sector minister Michael O'Brien said: "It will deliver an estimated average reduction of 24 per cent on the price of multifunction devices and 33 per cent on printers compared with previous arrangements."

Canon, Fuji-Xerox, Kyocera and Ricoh are also included in the new panel, which is set to expire on June 30th 2015.

Konica Minolta's involvement in the new panel follows the launch of its Bizhub Pro 951 Monochrome Production Print System, which the company believes will offer excellent image quality, efficient paper handling and strong reliability to its customer base.
