Mobile Centric Revolution Should Be Embraced By Businesses

Businesses need to ensure that they are catering for the bring your own device (BYOD) trend, according to an expert.

Koby Amedume, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) marketing director at Kaseya, said that this way of working is currently "taking the world by storm" as mobile devices are being utilised within organisations to access work-related data and apps.

This includes the use of ink cartridges through wireless printing, with employees able to churn out documents and images from tablet or smartphone devices over the air.

"Any business considering a BYOD scheme must recognise that only with the right solutions, policies and guidance in place, can corporate data and network access be managed and monitored correctly. [This is] a strategy that is most efficiently achieved via a comprehensive IT management solution or 'single pane of glass' approach," Mr Amedume said.

This will help to ensure that a precedent is set for the future evolution of BYOD within an enterprise, the expert added.
