Jadi to expand toner production

The Jadi Imaging Group of Malaysia announce that the Group will expand its annual production capacity of colour toner by an additional 400 metric tonnes when its new colour toner production line commences production in July 2008 in Malaysia.

The new production line which also uses the conventional pulverisation process will also be dedicated exclusively to the production of colour toners only.  Currently, the Group operates one colour toner production line in Malaysia with an annual production capacity of 100 metric tonnes.  To date, the group is said to have developed, formulated and launched the full range of colour toners that are compatible for use in the Samsung CLP 500 and CLP 300 series of printers, Samsung CLX-3160FN multi-function printer and HP Color Laser Jet 2600 and CP3505 series of printers.

Currently, the group has five production lines producing black toner with an annual production capacity of over 5,000 metric tonnes in its manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and China.  In addition, as part of its on-going research and development programme to develop new products, the group is conducting joint R & D on chemically produced toner (CPT) in collaboration with the Chemistry Department of the University of Malaya, the premier university in Malaya.
