This desire and appetite for portable and mobile printing devices goes hand in hand with a similar need in other areas of modern business such as communication and networking.

According to executives and officials asked in the article, this appetite could and should be being dealt with by the printing industry and because of the possibilities available.

Nitin Hiranandani, director of Laserjet Enterprise Solutions at HP, told the website: "With potential growth at a compound annual growth rate of 15 percent, we see a clear utility of mobile printers and scanners to capture customer information for processing applications and providing quotes or receipts to clients on the spot."

The report states that mobile printing is enjoying an uptake in telecoms, education, event management, advertising, pharma, travel as well as law.
