Canon Sponsors PrintWeek India Awards

Ink giant Canon India has confirmed that it will be the main title sponsor at the fourth edition of the PrintWeek India Awards.

However, it is not the only company that has opted to endorse the event, as DuPont has announced that it will sponsor the Label Printer of the Year Award, while Henkel India will do the same for the PUR-Book Maker of the Year accolade, reports Packaging Europe.

Speaking to the news provider, Noel D'cunha, deputy editor, PrintWeek India, said: "Print firms should choose the correct category and submit the best examples of four print jobs which the firm has produced."

Other companies that have offered their backing to the event are Welbound Worldwide and GMC Software Technology, which will sponsor the Book Printer of the Year Award and the Personalisation, VDP & Transpromo Printer of the Year honour respectively.

By endorsing events, companies can help to raise their profile across the globe and pick up new contacts in the industry.
