Brother Reveals Environmental Progress

Printer ink maker Brother has published a report outlining its progress on focussing on environmental issues. The firm's Corporate Responsibility Report offers a broad overview of its year-long activities that go way "beyond the balance sheet".

Acknowledging the importance of climate change awareness, the printer ink firm discusses its firm track-record on ecological emphases, highlighting the company's development partnership with Cool Earth, the environmental charity, to work to save the valuable Peruvian Rainforest eco-system.

Jayne Broddle, Brother's corporate responsibility manager, said: "Businesses are increasingly being asked to demonstrate how they measure up beyond their balance sheet and we have a good story to tell - with a clear commitment to environmental issues, the health and safety of our employees and to making a positive contribution to our industry and the local community."

The report also covered issues such as employee welfare, due diligence, industry liaison and community involvement. Green Brother is the name of the printer ink firm's environmental arm.
