The Epson Workforce WF-2530WF has picked up eight out of ten stars from a writer at TrustedReviews.
Simon Williams from the website explained that the photo prints offered by the machine are “very good”, explaining that there are natural colours and no noticeable casts, while colour transitions are placed in large areas.
“The Epson Workforce WF-2530WF is a well-designed, small footprint, four-function all-in-one which should be able to handle most of the functions required of a home office printer.
“Print quality is good, it’s easy to maintain and has running costs about average for its class,” he continued.
Mr Williams explained that the only drawback of the machine is the “slowness” of printing and scanning.
He also noted that ink cartridges are reasonably priced and provide page costs of 3.3p for black print, while this rises to 9.8p for colour cartridges, offering good value for money for consumers.

Epson’s Expression Photo XP-850 and XP-750 machines have collected the Best Multifunction Photo Printer award from TIPA.
TIPA (The Technical Image Press Association) looks at the innovation, technology, design, ease-of-use and price-to-performance ratio of products launched in a 12 month period to name a shortlist and winner for each category.
Mary McNulty, head of PR and communications at Epson Europe, said: “TIPA members select the products to shortlist and vote on the winner. The panel has a huge variety of choice so we are very proud that the Epson Expression Photo XP-850 and XP-750 won the award.”
Epson has now picked up 32 awards from TIPA for technologies and imaging products, ranging from printers to inks and scanners.
Recently, Epson premiered its SureLab D300 professional photo printer at the Photo World-Dubai event.
The showcase promotes new imaging, photography, videography and will feature a number of solutions.

The Epson Expression Photo XP-850 Small-in-One printer has been awarded four stars from a reviewer at Technology Tell.
Kirk Hiner from the website explained that the machine uses six separate Claria Photo HD ink cartridges, meaning that, when one colour runs out, only that colour needs to be replaced.
“The ink does its best work with photos on photo quality paper. Comparing the printed photos at 4×6 and 8×10 with other ink jet photo printers I’ve used yielded similar results, and were only slightly lower than that of the local pharmacy’s print center, with over-saturation being the main issue,” Mr Hiner noted.
He added that the printer is ideal for those who want a printer that “does it all”.
Epson has established itself as a driving force in the ink market, though there are many other rivals adding to the competition in the sector.
HP, Xerox and Canon are among these, giving consumers even more choice with where they spend their money.

The Epson WorkForce printers use up to 80 per cent less electricity than their laser equivalents.
To test the machines, the company attached a WorkForce Pro 3595 DNF inkjet printer to a bicycle dynamo, finding that pedalling for around two minutes was able to generate 30 watts, which was enough to start up the machine and print a page.
In comparison, it was discovered that a laser printer required 700 watts to perform the same task.
Henning Ohlsson, general manager of Epson Germany, said: "Whether its running cost, print quality, speed or energy consumption, Epson's WorkForce business inkjets have many advantages over laser printers.
"However, laser printers have long been standard in offices, and it's our task to use imaginative ways to show them customers how the latest inkjet technology addresses our customers' concerns."
The efficiency of printers has become more important over recent years, as a higher number of people are looking to reduce their energy consumption.
If you are hoping to do this, it is important to read up on the energy performance of any machines you are considering.

Epson has announced its updated second-half business plan, which follows on from the first-half business plan that ran three years from fiscal 2009.
In the preceding plan, Epson pursued the strategies in its SE15 Corporate Vision and restructured its devices, precision products and business portfolios, which led to income rebounding in fiscal 2009 and 2010.
On the other hand, the company missed its initial income target for fiscal 2011, with the earthquake and tsunami in Japan contributing to the issue.
Following this, Epson assembled a selection of competitive information-related equipment products in line with its growth strategy, which underpinned the company's second-half plan that started in fiscal 2012.
This plan featured the same basic strategic direction but was an income growth plan that was predicated on net sales growth.
Despite this, the business environment in fiscal 2012 was more severe than anticipated, resulting in Epson downwardly revising its forecast. Epson claimed that it needed to review the strategy and business targets shown in its mid-range business plan.
Consequently, the business decided to re-adjust its product mix and adopt new business models in the existing segments in the three years of the Updated Mid-Range Business Plan.
Epson is aiming to aggressively develop markets in these segments, with the company set to transform from one focused on printing and projection in the consumer market to one with eyes on information tools and equipment for businesses and professionals and the general public.
It is hoping to make its updated mid-range business plan as a way to lay the foundation for the transformation, enabling it to work towards its goals in the market.
"Epson's basic policy under the updated mid-range business plan is to manage its businesses to ensure it creates steady profit and avoids the single-minded pursuit of revenue growth. Under this policy, management is determined that the company's results will bottom out in fiscal 2012, and will prioritize the generation of steady profits going forward," the company stated.
As well as focusing on strengthening the company's financial structure, Epson will aim to maintain its fixed costs at their current level and boost its variable cost ratio in an effort to improve profitability.
The printer specialist has also issued new sales targets as part of the plans.
"Epson is looking to increase net sales by 20 billion yen a year and operating income by 10 billion. While our previous plan was predicated on strong net sales growth, we are now focusing on the generation of steady profits by reconstructing existing business segments and developing new business segments," the company announced.
Epson is aiming to boost the competitiveness of its inkjet printers by reducing their size, while accelerating the deployment of office inkjet printers and expanding its commercial printer segment.
"Inkjet printer growth will be flat over the next three years, with growing sales in emerging economies expected to be offset by reduced unit sales in developed economies. In the medium term, we will concentrate on improving the model mix and realigning our business model.
"In fiscal 2012, we completed the capital investment aimed at establishing volume production of our new piezo print head. We plan to improve competitiveness by launching printers with the new print head in fiscal 2013," the company stated.
Furthermore, Epson is aiming to be number one in all of its projector segments and create new value for HMDs as information tools.
"Although the projector market will not expand at the rate we had previously expected, we still forecast growth based on expanding demand in emerging economies.
"Against this background, we will strengthen our position in existing product domains and in high-brightness projectors by presenting new solutions and boosting our sales network," Epson explained.

Epson's Expression Photo XP-750 has been reviewed by an expert from Digital Versus.
The manufacturer has advertised the machine as a photo printer with fast print speeds, with 10x15cm photos being completed in ten seconds.
It also has six high precision colour ink cartridges, while Wi-Fi, double-sided printing and an 8.8cm touchscreen are included.
However, the website noted that the machine is underwhelming in some areas.
"The Epson Expression Photo XP-750 is a great printer for colour and B&W photos, but that's the only purpose you'll want to get it for, because the print quality on text documents is disappointing," the website added.
It recommended that better all-round printers can be purchased for the same price or less that consume less power and print quicker.
Consumers should ensure they search the market thoroughly before committing to a particular model, with HP, Xerox and Dell all offering effective machines.

Epson has celebrated the 20th anniversary of its piezoelectronic print head technology.
It is the only major firm in the world that uses the print heads in its full range of machines, ranging from its smallest personal photo printer to its largest industrial press system.
Speaking to Asia One, Koichi Endo, the managing director of Epson Southeast Asia, said: "Today, its (Piezo's) superior reliability, energy efficiency, and high ink compatibility is giving Epson unique advantages and growth opportunities in the fields of business document printing, industrial printing and our ability to create special products."
Mr Endo emphasised that the company waited 20 years for the technology to mature.
