Epson Extends Deal With Man United

Ink company Epson has agreed a three-year contract with Manchester United to continue as the club's official office equipment supplier. The ink and printer company views the affiliation as a key way of boosting its global visibility and business growth, with the deal set to run until the end of the 2014/15 season. As part of the agreement, Epson will supply Manchester United with core office and front-of-house printing and imaging equipment. Epson general manager of global communications Ian Cameron said: "This is an exciting partnership and we see it as an opportunity to strengthen connections with our customers around the world, particularly in emerging markets." The company will also benefit from advertising rights and hospitality thanks to the deal. This agreement comes shortly after Epson announced its first WorkForce printers, which are engineered to cater for small and medium-sized businesses. Two of the first models in the series will be the Epson WorkForce WF-7011 colour A3 single function printer and the WorkForce WF-7511. Epson Named As Sponsor Of Audubon Photography Awards

Printer ink company Epson has been confirmed as the official inkjet printer sponsor of Audubon Magazine's annual photography awards. The contest features more than 10,000 photo entries on an annual basis, and Epson has involved itself in the competition to signal its commitment to providing photographers with the appliances they require, embracing their creativity. Richard Day, group product manager of professional imaging at Epson America, said: "Epson's innovative, industry-leading printing technology enables photographers to showcase the true colour and intensity of their photographs." In order to boost the quality of photo prints, Epson has released its Stylus Photo R3000 model, which boasts high capacity ink cartridges and AccuPhoto HD2 image technology, enabling better detail on photographs. It is also not the first time Epson has sponsored such an event, as it was named as the official inkjet printer and paper partner for the 2012 Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards Exhibition earlier this year. Epson Launches WorkForce Printers

Epson has launched its new WorkForce printers, which have been engineered to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. The Epson WorkForce WF-7011 colour A3 single function printer and the WorkForce WF-7511 are the first two models in the series, with the latter being the company's first A3 inkjet all-in-one model. The devices utilise high-capacity Epson 143 DURABrite Ultra pigment ink and have Ethernet and Wi-Fi functionality built into them. Samba Moorthy, director of sales and marketing, said: "The Epson WorkForce A3 printers have been designed to provide our business customers a truly exhaustive set of imaging and printing capabilities with low running cost." Ms Moorthy suggested that there is "virtually nothing" that the models cannot do. However, Epson will have strong competition in the market, especially since Xerox launched its ColourQube 8700/8900 Colour Multifunction Printers. Epson Printers Set To Be Available In South Africa

Epson has announced a new partnership which will ensure that its products will be available in South Africa. The firm has struck a deal with technology retailer Incredible Connection, meaning that ink cartridges and its business and consumer printers will be on sale across the nation from April 26th, reports Gadget. Kelvin Reynolds, general manager for Epson South Africa, told the news provider: "Epson has recently expanded its range of consumer and business printers, which have seen impressive market share gains throughout Europe. We believe it is time to implement the same strategy locally." The first products to be released in the market will include its compact colour printers and multifunctional business inkjet printers. In recent weeks, Epson was also confirmed as the official printer and paper partner for the 2012 Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards Exhibition. Ink Giants Epson Aculaser C1750N Receives Good Review

In a review by carried out by expertreviews.co.uk, the Epson Aculaser C1750N proved that, as with ink cartridges, simplicity can often be better. The printer was roundly praised within the article, specifically for how simple it is to operate and run. So impressive was its simplicity that it was even awarded the legendary five star standard.  According to the review, the only slight issues found when it came to the Epson Aculaser printer were that the paper tray was initially a little difficult to position and the dust cover and sheet feed felt slightly fragile. A segment of the review read: "Considering its fairly quick speeds, low price and surprisingly low running costs, it’s the perfect compact colour laser for the small or home office, and it wins a well-deserved Budget Buy award." The website worked out that if an owner were to print 67 mono and 33 colour pages a month on the Epson C1750N, the total cost of ownership over three years would come to just £325. Epson Named Official Partner Of Wildlife Photography Exhibition

Printer and ink cartridge retailer Epson has been named as the official inkjet printer and paper partner for this year's Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards Exhibition. Held on the second floor of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, the event includes work from a host of award-winning photographers from one of the world's top nature photography competitions. The prints that will be used in the event have been created using Epson's Stylus Pro 9900 alongside the Epson MicroPiezo TFP print head and its UltraChrome HDR ink cartridges. Steve Freligh, Windland's awards director, said: "With the help of Epson, and the incredible image-makers in the field, we are able to display an extraordinary photographic journey from the wild to the walls of the Smithsonian. "Using Epson's latest exhibition-quality printing technology, the images of wildlife and habitats are brought to life." The exhibit will open on March 30th and run through to January 6th, 2013. This year's awards ceremony took place on Sunday night, with Epson printers being deployed to swiftly print thousands of flawless, borderless and colour credentials for use in the ceremony. Organisers of the event cited Epson's reliability and efficiency as the main reason behind their appointment with Jennifer Liao, product manager for Consumer Ink Jets at Epson America, Inc, saying that quality output was also key. Ms Liao said: "Epson WorkForce printers are once again an integral part of the Academy Awards this year, printing the credentials with superior quality and blazing speeds. Epson Releases New Printers For SMEs

A new range of printers designed by Epson have been released in order to help small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Middle East save even more on their printing and ink cartridges costs. Three brand new all-in-one printers have been specifically designed and released by Epson in order to help smaller companies save both time and money while also being able to enjoy outstanding print quality. The Epson Stylus Office BX305FW Plus, BX630FW and BX935FWD are all being billed as having efficient printing, scanning, copying and fax capabilities as well as including a greater range of connectivity choices. Khalil El-Dalu, general manager at Epson Middle East, said: "The new all-in-one printers provide a level of flexibility and freedom that matches their time and money-saving capabilities, which are factors that will greatly appeal to the Middle East's small businesses." Epson Releases New Point Of Sale Printer

Ink heavyweight Epson has introduced a brand new point of sale (POS) printer at the National Retail Federation (NRF) Annual Convention and Expo. Epson is already a leading supplier in the area of value-added point of sale solutions, and took the chance at the event to introduce its new compact TM-H2000 multifunction POS printer. According to the company, the new model is designed for retailers who are on the lookout for high-speed printing, check processing as well as endorsement. It also comes with a two year limited warranty and is ENERGY STAR-qualified so it is ideally suited for high-volume retailers looking to increase speeds and lower costs while maintaining quality.
