If you are looking for a all in one printer the Epson stylus Photo RX500 is the one you need. This printer is so amazing!!!! .From the time I went to comet and saw it and bought it then printed a photo with it, it turned out to be the best printer I have ever had. I paid £119.99. There are so many nice features included with this printer, Let's see If I can remember them all:

It can scan 35 mm negatives color or black and white negatives and slides and it has a special tray for them to be scanned in and once you try this feature you will see how good it looks,I think it looks like a photo done in a lab (sorry boots),
The printer has a high scan quality it will scan up to 2400 x 4800,
And it has slots for memory cards for direct printing without a computer,Or you can scan a photo in and send the scanned photo or document to a memory card.I Think this printer is fast and so simple to use. It prints beautiful high quality photos (5760 x 1440 dpi, that is the highest dpi printer that I could find at the time in my price range.
Even text and graphics printed at lower resolution settings are good looking a bit like laser prints well that's what I think.
I don't think you need Epson Glossy paper as the cheap stuff is excellent for this printer.
But when I printed photos on the cheap photo paper it made it smudge proof and was dry as soon as it came out of the printer.
Some other features 6 individual ink cartridges which can save money as you can buy one colour at a time.
In all the other printers I had the Epson RX500 photos seem to have more details in the background that you would'nt normally notice with the other printers.The colors are true to life, vivid and I can not see one dot or grainy look even when I get the photo up close, I see a high gloss shine and the colors are all bright and beautiful. The photos printed from the RX500 looks so good its like getting your photo's from a shop ( like boots ).So if you need a high quality photo printer and have a digital camera, and you want lot's of features this printer is the only one you need to look at. There is so many other things that this printer can scanner things to your pc or just use it as a colour / black and white copier.The one down side for me is the size as it is on the big side and if you are short of room it's a pain.
The software that came with the printer is so easy to install just pop the disk in and follow the steps.
Sorry one more thing if you do buy one please remember to buy the ink cartridges or it only comes with demo inks which don't last 10 minutes.The only thing I don't know about is the manufactuer support as I have no problems with it so I have rated it satisfactory as I could not say a bad word or good about it.
