Dell 720 Colour Printer information: The Dell 720 is an inkjet printer capable of 8 pages per minute in colour, or 13 pages per minute in black and white on A4 paper. Resolution is 4800 x 1200 which makes it suitable (and quick) for printing your photos. The Dell 720 takes a black and a 3 colour ink cartridge and has a USB connection to your computer. We are conducting a massive survey of the printers you use. All the results will go onto our website for other people to use when deciding which printer to buy. We have a Dell 720 Printer . It is very good, but we have difficulty getting the ink for it. I would not recommend this printer Dell 720 as printer ink cartridges are to expensive via Dell score out of ten 1 I have a Dell 720 printer which came with my computer package. It works fine for me , but the copies of photos I print off are not particularly good, can be lined and unclear. The Dell printer 720 came as a freebee with a Dell PC system . In fact it is a Lexmark printer with proprietary software by Dell ,such it cannot work with the original Lexmark cartridges. Problems : 1 Veeeery expensive ink 2 Difficult to use with a non-Dell PC system (Windows driver) 3 After some attempts ,does not work with a Linux system (CUPS driver ??) I have enjoyed using my Dell 720 printer � it�s pleasing on the eye, light, well designed, easy to use, and the print quality is good. Its print speed is slower than my (superb) Canon ip4300. I find the Dell Photo Printer 720 a compact, fast and very quiet printer. However the price of the ink cartridges from Dell,at around �25 - �33 each is extortionate. Which is why I have purchased compatable ink cartridges from Abitech Systems Ltd for �12.99 each,with a 10% reduction on future purchases. Regards B. Jones. I got my Dell 720 printer in my package but would not recommend it- the ink cartridges are VERY expensive The Dell 720 is fine as a basic printer, so long as you buy cheaper ink. I would NOT recommend this printer, we got it as part of the 'Dell' package - the cartridges are far too expensive, they don't last long being so small. A new printer is on our Xmas list!
Got it free with my computer. It is neat and does the job but quite slow in printing especially if there are any graphics or it uses colour. The ink cartridges are £30 so if it wasn't for internet.ink compatible I would have dumped it by now. THe ink level indicator software is fine. For someone like me who prints a lot of straightforward word documents it is fine and better than the Pixma printer that I got from BT that kept rejecting compatible cartridges.
