Hi everyone, You asked for an opinion on the Epson R1800 printer and I have had one for about 2 years now and think it is absolutely first class. When I bought it, I was looking for a printer that would produce good results up to A3 size and at the price, it seemed to be a good option and my only concern was the cost of Epson R1800 ink cartridges, but having bought compatibles ink cartridges from a few companies including your own, it is fairly economical to run. It excels when printing colour photos, which I have only printed up to A4, which is down to the performance of my digital camera, but A3 colour posters with lots of graphics on good quality card are second to none. It has had a lot of use and if it failed tomorrow, I would still try to get another one. Regards … John Duncan

I have had an Epson R1800 printer for almost 2 years and it has never given a bad print. I do use it most days, so the ink does not dry out on the nozzles. It is equally happy printing multiple 7x5 photos on Epson glossy paper, A4’s on Ilford premium lustre or 4 foot long panoramas on Epson A3 rolls. This is all from Minolta A2 8 megapixel compacts which I also find superb. I print for my own use and also commercially for a recently started professional photograhic business. I use compatible inks and find that there is no problem although it may be necessary to make adjustments in the printer set-up for different papers. It certainly deserves a score of 10 out of 10 for me. Secret Guest
