Canon pixma ip4500, printer good but not for novices. printing on cd�s awkward to figure out on apple mac. prints great docs but photo prints not very good, had better results with my old canon S 500. and ink pots a lot dearer due to chips on cartridges. 5/10

The Canon IP4500 is an excellent printer, with some truly wonderful capabilities. The fact that it can print both sides of paper without the paper leaving the printer is amazing. It also prints fast and very clearly. Photos are exceptional and truly brilliant (although the interface for definitions regarding size and borderless options is slightly confusing). The only real bugbear with this compared to my Epson R200 is that the ink costs a lot more. However, having now found this site I may risk buying some compatible cartridges. I have been told that these can be difficult, but that�s just talk.

Very good CD/DVD, text and colour prints. Very fast printer. However, need to do a bit of tweaking to produce best photo prints due to different papers/compatible inks that can be used.

Hi the printer is fantastic value & too use.the speed & quality is very professional.It will do for many (i hope) years to come

I am not very happy that the printer doesn't let you continue printing when one of the cartridge lights is flashing. I would like to choose when to stop printing. It has caused me problems when I want to print some text quickly. I may sell it.
