I am currently using a Brother DCP130C printer, having purchased it for the absurdly low price of £40. This replaces a Brother 117C printer which I had had for some twelve months. I decided on the Brother DCP130 when it looked as though the entire range of Brother machines were going over to the Brother L1000 ink cartridge instead of the Brother LC900 ink cartridge. I am very pleased with the performance of the Brother DCP130C, though there are one or two points that can be irritating, namely the paper tray which, though a little more substantial than the Brother 117C, still has the same flimsy paper guides as that model, which do not adjust properly. Another point that I find irritating is that, in the Copy Options on the Brother 117C one could obtain the Glossy for photographic paper, whereas on the 130 it gives 2 options Brother photo and other photo. This latter option does not like heavy glossy paper, and so-called Brother photo paper is damn near impossible to obtain. However, this setting does handle glossy paper. Apart from these two items, I find the printer easy to use, prints at a fair rate, in good quality. For £40 one really cannot go too far wrong.
Recently purchased, this Brother DCP 130C has been by far the best both for value, less than £40, and performance. Delighted with it. What more can I say! Best wishes Joyce Wiltshire
This seems to be a good printer and copier and your company’s ink cartridges work fine in this model. However, the scanner control of this model is very, very complex. This my third "all in one" model and the first Brother I have tried, compared with Lexmarks the scanner function is totally over the top in complexity.
I like all of the Brother DCP 130 printers but they have one main problem they don’t like compatible inks, they block the jets so I only bye originals now it as cost me three printers to find this out.

I love my brother dcp130, had no problems with its user interface, software or compatible inks. had mine for a year now and I go through 4 cartridges a month and my jets have never blocked and the quality is on the same par as the original cartridges
