I also have a Lexmark X2300 series which I keep because of its OCR function and as a backup machine. It, too is expensive to run as it uses the Lexmark No1 cartridge, which has a small capacity, uses up a lot of the coloured ink to make black print (the No 1 cartridge is a three colour cartridge, without a separate black tank) and is expensive to buy (�14+ from PC World). The scanning and OCR functions are good, although the PC has to be up and running for the copying facility. The print quality is good for a cheap machine, but a bit slow. Score 5/10
