I have owned the Epson Stylus Photo R340 printer for just over a year. I use the printer in a Home Stand-alone situation and use it`s various functions several times each week. I find the direct print onto DVD`s works very well, and the built in card reader and USB socket (both at the front of the printer) very useful. The print quality, especially for photographs, is extremely good. The instruction manual is quite comprehensive and well laid out. Perhaps the biggest (and probably only gripe) is with the six colour cartridges. They last much longer than I expected, and can be changed individually but only Original manufacturers cartridges, which are exceedingly expensive, can be used. If compatible cartridges (which cost less than half the price of the original cartridges) are used the printer senses them and refuses to operate. Epson took there time in bringing out the necessary Drivers for Vista and are not always the easiest to obtain verbal assistance. All in all a good printer, but costly if put to hard use.
