Epson Stylus D120 - Drinks ink. Most compatible ink-jet cartridges don’t work currently (chip not compatible), trying compatibles from Internet-ink.co.uk to see if they work. Software supplied for remote monitoring of ink (Epson Status Monitor 3) doesn’t work on network and causes complications, do not use this facility.

MODEL - EPSON STYLUS D120 GOOD - Quickish and excellent quality print and photo printing. Good range of options and information re ink level status etc. BAD - Quantity of ink in cartridges (don’t last long), fiddly to load paper, ’On’ light hard to see except in dull light/darkness, difficult to pull out paper receiving tray as it snags on the printer top lid, small flap on paper receiving tray easily dislodged & has to be refitted. MARKS - 7/10

RECENTLY BOUGHT NEW EPSON D120 PRINTER TO REPLACE H P PRINTER.WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH IT AND THE FACT THAT YOU CAN REPLACE ONE CARTRIDGE INSTEAD OF EXPENSIVE H P TRIPLE ONES.WE WILL BE ORDERING REPLACEMENTS FROM YOU WHEN REQUIRED AS NORMAL. DAVID WILLIAMS

I would not recommend the Epson D120. You can’t refill the cartridges. It drinks ink. It often says the cartridges are empty when they are not. It won’t print if only one black cartridge is empty. It’s not any cheaper having individual inks as Epson claim. You have to replace four cartridges costing £10 each whereas with my old HP printer I had to replace two cartridges, cost of refills was about £10-11 each.

Had my Epson D120 printer some 3 months now. My last printer was canon i560. The Epson wins hands down! - with one exception. ink. The Epson gulps down ink. and the ink is twice the price of the canon. all in all. I would prefer to have taken another canon printer. - Val
