HP Photosmart D5160 great little workhorse but now discontinued model. Was loyal to Epson but gave up after 5th printer broke. I was loyal because I kept reading reviews saying they were the best. Gone back to HP which seem to go on forever plus the ink cartridges last a long time. Printer reliability guided me to buying a HP desktop, no regrets.
This printer is very good value for money,the print quality is excellent,the printer also prints fast with good results at the end…. I must say one thing,if u r looking for a printer make sure you check ink compatibility first as the ink for this printer is way over priced. If anyone knows where I can purchase this ink at a very low price,please let me know.
Just brought a new one HP Photosmart D5160, so far i think it is brill.Rate 10 out of 10.
I am generally delighted with the quality of the D5160 but the technical support is lacking. I cannot centralize the disc-print and difficulty with picking up photo paper in the small tray...... Regards, Bryan A Cook
My HP Photosmart D5160 has inferior print quality to my HP Deskjet 840C INCLUDING photo standard and fiddly cartridges
Have been using HP D5160 for some considerable time and find it an excellent workhorse. Produces brilliant photos but find that so-called compatible inks do not always work as well as the original which I feel are rather overpriced. Sometimews I have problems re-setting after changing cartridges. I keep getting a 'Door Open' message when it is in fact closed. Otherwise it is fine.
