cannot fault it on either printing or scanning. i make around a hundred Christmas cards with it each year printing on all qualities of papers and get a good print quality on all.

I have had this printer for some time now and it has never let me down, great quality printing of photographs, and everyday word projects, scans and copies well, very easy to use, in fact I think this is the best printer I have bought. My only gripe is as usual the cost of inkjets, they can be expensive for such a small amount of ink, well worth checking on the price of the cartridges before you buy.

I have the HP PHOTOSMART C5280 all-in-one and I can’t find any faults with it all. The printing quality is superb on all types of paper and on direct cd printing is really professional. It is very easy to use too.

Simply the best! I’ve owned many printers over numerous years and find this the HP Photosmart C5280 a delight. Easy to use - even when the PC is switched off. Copying & scanning (b&w and colour) is absolutely fine and swift. OK there are occasional moments when two sheets of paper are collected instead of one - but hey, in the real world this does not cause any type of crisis!Just wish I had bought one earlier, even find my family don’t have to rely on me to produce copies, pix etc.

Inks are too pricey, they don't last very long, printer makes too much noise, the epson I have just thrown out due to being worn out was much better, thinking of going back to epson better program to work with.
Only thing I hate is the servicing, as it should be up to the user to decide and it costs more than the printer, in service charges.

I've just bought this printer because I was waiting for an 'all in one' with better scanning resolution. I haven't got to grips with all the features yet but so far so good.
My first inkjet printer was an old HP photosmart that I was very happy with but I bought a new camera and the printer didn't have the required slot for the modern media card so the shop persuaded me to buy an Epson. What a mistake. It nearly drove me to distraction with one cartridge after another running out and all the problems with running tests, nozzle checks etc. Yes the HP ink cartridges are expensive but don't be fooled by this Epsom folklore that the cartridges are cheaper. Individually yes but you have to buy 5 colours (which are fairly evenly used anyway) instead of 1 colour cartridge - the maths are simple.
I couldn't wait to get back to HP
