my current printer is an hp psc 1200 series. it is not the most expensive, but it works like a dream! it has no card readers, but then, i like to load my pictures and manipulate them myself anyway. an ideal printer for the home user who doesn’t want all the whistles and bells to do the job for them. my favourite printer of all time was a canon bjc 1000 series. no scanner, of course, but the speed and quality of print had to be seen to be believed from such a small machine. I gave it to my daughter, and she still is using it after seven years. finally, it all comes down to configuring the machine correctly, whatever the make. remember you own the printer,--it doesn’t own you! regards, m saunderson,
