When you want perfect photo prints, every time on any media, the Epson T0801-T0806 range of ink cartridges is definitely for you. Expressing subtle color variations with the three primary colors makes for some highly complex mixing and layering of inks. The colorants may only be microscopic ink particles, but when layered they can form fine bumps on the print surface. These bumps can inhibit glossiness and cause scattered reflections. When the most frequently used colors of red and blue are used in addition to the three primary colors, fewer colors are required to express a greater range of colors, resulting in a smother, more professional looking finish.
The Epson 8 color system incorporates not one, but two black ink cartridges. A photo black for when you are printing on glossy paper and a matte black for when your printable media has a matt finish.
