Your Reviews So Far
have an Epson C66 Photo edition. On the whole it has been satisfactory but it is not really particularly good when attempting to use "photo’" paper even with the correct setting. Also I am now getting horizontal banding when printing pictures with a SanDisk card reader.
Epson Stylus C66 Good Point Printouts are good Bad point this printer is unable to print on cd/dvd.
EPSON STYLUS C66 Have had this about 3 years. No problems. Easy to change the ink cartridges. Uses your Epson substitutes, so not too expensive on the ink. Great for domestic purposes. 8/10
EPSON C66 Printer. Not expensive 9 Speed 6 Print Quality 7 Ink price 10 Reliability 10 OVERALL Brilliant printer 9/10
Up unitl last week I had been very happy using my Epson C66 photo edition. The results were good. However as with the C64 I had previously owned, Epson seem to be deciding that they will only allow so many printouts for each machine regardless of whether the machine is truly in need of a service or not. The window that came up said the machine needed various parts replacing in a service, and told me to look at the documentation which came with the machine. I could find nothing that referred to a service. I went into the shop from which I bought the C66, (and the C64) he knew immediately what i was talking about and pointed to his current stock which was all Canon. He said he has changed because of all the complaints he’s been receiving about Epson printer life spans. To get that service, would it seems cost as much as a new machine. Anyway, I bought a Canon Pixma iP6210D and have negotiated with you for a return of the C66 cartridges as part exchange for one each of the highly expensive replacements I’ll need on this machine. Thanks Customer Service! The jury is out on this Canon- so far the quality is excellent but if I eventually get window telling me the wretched thing needs new parts and a service that costs the same as a new one - I’ll be very very angry. The days of a throw away society are over, things have to be made to last and if getting something ’serviced’ is no cheaper than a new one - who will ever chose the service. Things have to be made to LAST!! even if it means them being initially more expensive. When the owner is not allowed to keep the machine going until it physically breaks down and genuinely needs fixing, when computer programming can be used to artificially end the life of perfectly usable machine something is very wrong with commerce. I am not a heavy user of inks but all my orders with internet-ink have been quickly delivered and no problems have been found with the Epson ink cartridges used, in fact I have very good results with photos and normal printing. I use both Lexmark and Epson C66, printers. I must give you 10/10 . Carry on with the good quality. Of the printers I find that the Epson C66 is my best printer the colour prints are very good, and take your inks very well, the Lexmark printer copier is ok for letters etc but the colour from photos and copier is only fair, even with the Lexmark inks. I have an Epson C66, the current machine I have used now for about 2 years. As you have indicated these printers are subject to drying out. My previous printer, also a C66 did dry out causing me to replace it. This I can now say that it was largely my doing for allowing the ink to completely run out. Fortunately it was still just within warranty and I was able to have it replaced. So never again !! This model serves my purposes very well since I do not require to print anything too sophisticated although it would be nice for it to be a little quicker. If the time comes to replace it for some reason then a similar model would suit, assuming that C66 has gone out of production. regards A Fletcher
My current printer is an Epson C66. This is about my third printer since i started with a computer and each one has been an Epson. I think this has probably been one of the best as the printer runs very quietly and prints very clearly, although i have never used inks from Internet-ink before so i don’t know how it will react to the new inks. I use my Epson C66 a lot, producing letters, leaflets, brochures, etc, and I love it. Yes i have bought lots of ink from you, several times a year and I keep coming back. 10/10. Thank you.
Have had this printer for about 18 months and am very satisfied with the quality of the prints, although sometimes get banding on the photo paper, but generally I would mark it a safe 9 out of 10. The big bonus for me is the cost of your compatible inks and the deals on them when buying 2 or 3 sets, plus the fact that delivery is free. Keep it up Abitech, from a very happy customer in Spain. Cheers Roy
I have had the Epson C66 for about 2 – 3 years. Not that happy with it, find the print inks very expensive and it doesn’t always take the compatibles, and also have had problems with banding when printing photos. But it’s working, still, and so I won’t replace it until it’s broken I guess! I give it 6/10 - Clare.
